New 2015 QuickBooks Online Accountant Now in Canada

qbo logoListen up out there you QB ProAdvisors! It has finally arrived in Canada – the new QB’s Online Accountant version. Has it reached the same functionality as QB Desktop?

I guess it depends on what your needs are, but Intuit is slowly moving towards filtering out the Desktop version, so you need to slowly integrate your clients, because this is the new technology that will in time – replace QB Desktop.

In saying that, until QBO and QBOA provide me with a payroll that does the same type of job costing from payroll, then I will not be using it or promoting it to clients that have a need for this feature. The last thing QB ProAdvisor’s need is to switch over and have that feature not work properly. As the saying goes “show me”.

Can you image the damage that would cause with your clients, their bookkeeping/accounting people and hours of consulting costs? Nope, Desktop is working just fine thank you.

Now, there will be time soon, I would guess sometime this year (2015) when that working payroll job costing function will be included in QBO and QBOA, but I highly recommend that you test drive it first, and I mean with their company file.
