QuickBooks Tip – Synchronize QuickBooks with Microsoft Outlook

Posted by on Feb 28, 2011 in QuickBooks Tips | 3 comments

Because contact managers store so much more information than QuickBooks needs for lists, only a subset of information contained in the contact manager can be synchronized with QuickBooks. However, you can synchronize the most vital contact information (including name, address, and fax number).

Note that you can only synchronize these three lists:

  • Customers & Jobs list
  • Vendor list
  • Other Names list

When synchronizing information with QuickBooks and Microsoft Outlook, you have three options for transferring information:

  • QuickBooks to contact manager
  • Contact manager to QuickBooks
  • QuickBooks to contact manager and contact manager to QuickBooks

To perform this tip go to Menu Bar/File/ Utilities and then click Synchronize Contacts.

www.quickbookstrained.com is now mobile friendly. From the web address you can choose Options/Mobile formatted and the site will appear in all its living colour for you to view. Check it out.
